On May 2nd, Professor DING Jian, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director-General of SIMM, visited Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST),at the invitationof Professor AoaoXU, President of MUST. As the honoredspeaker at the 12th Master of Science Lecture Series sponsored by MUST, ProfessorDing delivered a lecture entitled “70-year history of anti-cancer drug therapy”.
Professor Dingstarts from the introduction of the history of cancer, cancer morbidity in China and worldwide, evolution of cancer treatment, and conventional anti-cancer drugs. Then Professor Dingproceeds to talk in deep about the molecular targeted anti-cancer drug discovery and accompanied development of cancer biomarkers.
The lecture gets high attention from the attendees. During the Q&A, ProfessorDing talks also about the impact of TCM in cancer therapy which provokes broad interestsof the audience.
