On 11th of November, the 2014 Annual Meiji Life Sciences Awards Ceremony was held in Ruijin Hospital, associated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. 26 winners of the “2014 Annual Meiji Life Sciences Award” were awarded certificates, including 2 Excellence Awards, 6 Recognition Awards and 18 Science Awards. Researcher XIE Xin from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica,CAS was awarded the “2014 Annual Meiji Life Science Award”.
“Meiji Life Sciences Award” was co-hosted by the China Human Genome Center at South and Nippon Meiji Co., Ltd. reviewed annually, to reward research and teaching staff, postgraduate students and research managers who made remarkable achievements in the field of life science research in Shanghai, with the aims to promote the development of research in the field of life sciences in Shanghai, cultivate new generations of leaders in the life sciences and outstanding management talents for China.
Since its establishment, Meiji Life Science Award (formerly the Meiji Dairies Life Sciences Award) already award 12 researchers from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, including Professors of YANG Yushe , LOU Liguang, YE Yang, WANG Yiping, SHEN Jianhua, YUE Jianmin, ZUO Jianping, SHEN Xu, MENG Linghua, ZHANG Ao ,YANG Chunhao, XIE Xin, etc.
