According to the Notice of a publication on the name list of persons entitled 2016 State Council Special Allowance (SCSA), which issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and Notice of the name list of selected Government Special Allowance Awardees in 2016, Which issued by the personnel bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), SIMM scientists YE Yang, LI Jia, LIU Jinggen and LI Yaping received the 2016 State Council Special Allowance. 

SCSA is a reward system of the State Council of People’s Republic of China for high-level professional and technical personnel and highly skilled personnel. The awardees are known as the State Council Special Allowance experts. In 1990, the Party Central Committee and the State Council decided to grant the special government allowance to the experts, scholars and technical personnel who made outstanding contributions. Since 2012, a total of 11 scientists in SIMM have received the glory grant.
