On November 24, Academician Shavkat I. Salikhov, President of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, Prof. Abbaskhan Turaev, Director of Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Prof. Shamansur Sagdullaev, Director of Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, and Prof. Nail Sagdiev, Head of Laboratory of Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry paid a visit to Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

　　Prof. Jian Ding, General Director of SIMM and Prof. Yang Ye, Deputy Director of SIMM warmly welcome the Uzbekistan delegation and gave a comprehensive overview of the history and scientific achievements of SIMM. Then Prof. Shavkat I. Salikhov gave a presentation on the development of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances. In terms of the mutual interests and future collaboration models, both sides had heated discussions.

　　Afterwards, a lab tour of State Key Lab of Drug Research, Research Center for Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the National Center for Drug Screening was arranged for the delegation.
