Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia held the 1st SIMM-RMIT Joint Symposium on Drug Discovery Research in SIMM on November 15, 2010.
The symposium was designed to promote bilateral academic exchange and cooperation on drug research, including diabetes, stem cell and traditional Chinese medicine.
Academician DING Jian, director of SIMM and Prof. Peter Coloe, vice chancellor of RMIT delivered speeches at the opening ceremony respectively. And Prof. LI Yiming from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine introduced the latest research progress of its university.
