Since 2009, University of Ottawa and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM) has been collaborating in academic exchanges. As the visiting professor of SIMM, Prof. Daniel Figeys, Director of Ottawa Institute of Systems Biology, endeavors to promote the cooperation of two institutions.
On Wednesday, 9th November, Professor Mona Nemer, Vice President of University of Ottawa, paid a visit to SIMM and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SIMM that expands the cooperation between the two institutions.
A scientific committee will be established to explore further development of joint research projects between the two institutions and to promote exchanges of professors and graduate students. It is convinced that the collaboration will significantly strengthen the partnership of two institutions.
