Servier’s New CEO Visits SIMM

In the morning of October 23rd, Mr. Olivier LAUREAU, Servier’s new global CEO, visited SIMM with a Servier senior delegation, including Dr. Emmanuel CANET, vice president of research and development, and Mr. Frederic SESINI, vice president of international operations.

This is Mr. LAUREAU’s first visit at SIMM after he became Servier’s global Chief Executive Officer. He affirmed highly the SIMM-Servier collaborative projects since 1996, the joint laboratory, as well as the in-licensing of SIMM new anticancer drug candidate. He expressed sincere appreciation to SIMM’s leaders and scientists for their supports and contributions to the collaborations. Meanwhile, Mr. LAUREAU confirmed that, as always, SIMM is one of Servier’s most important international partners, and both parties should reinforce the friendship and collaboration.

Professor Hualiang JIANG, SIMM’s Director General, reiterated that, Servier has been one of the most important strategic partners of SIMM in drug discovery and development. The  20-year collaboration has been of great significance to the long-term strategic development and the improvement of the drug development platform for both parties. Both SIMM and Servier have faith to contribute toward the patients from China, France, and the whole world through the future collaborations.

After the meeting, Mr. LAUREAU, accompanied by Professor JIANG, visited the SIMM-Servier Joint Laboratory.
