On Thursday morning, October 29th, Austrian health industry delegation arrived at SIMM and started the visit; SIMM deputy director Prof. Yang Ye extended a warm welcome and hosted a meeting with great hospitality to the delegates. The delegation was headed by Julian Hadschieff, CEO of PremiQaMed Group, including delegates from Association of Austrian Social Security Institutions, Alexander Herzog, board of directors, etc. Christina Schösser, consul of Commercial Affairs from Austrian Consulate General also joined in the visit.

During the meeting, SIMM deputy director Prof YE Yang gave a general introduction to Austrian delegation on SIMM fundamental research, application research, new drug development and the reform progress of institute for drug discovery and development (IDDD).

The two sides exchanged communication and discussed on the issues with mutual interests such as the social insurance policy, SIMM strategy for new drug development aimed at aging diseases, innovative talents cultivation and potential cooperation in the future etc..
