Dr. Roger K. Sunahara, Professor of Pharmacology, Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, University of California,San Diego, visited Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica and delivered an academic lecture titled “Allostery in the coupling of G proteins to G protein-coupled receptors”.

The lecture mainly introduced the molecular mechanism by which hormone binding to GPCRs leads to allosteric activation of signaling cascades based on crystal structures of GPCRs complex with effector proteins.

The lecture intrigued a hot discussion between Professor Roger K. Sunahara and the attendees.
