The National Engineering Laboratory for TCM Standardization Technology was officially approved for operation by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in June, 2008. As one of the first engineering laboratories in the field of TCM approved by the NDRC, the major tasks of the laboratory include phytochemical and quality control research of TCM, TCM-based new drug discovery, therapeutic components in TCM and their preparations, new lead generation, etc. The Laboratory got the state accreditation on May 8, 2012. Through years of efforts, the Laboratory has established its leading role in TCM standardization.
