With new techniques in molecular pharmacology and biophysical chemistry, Department of Pharmacology III focuses on the research of “target identification and validation” and “macromolecule-small molecule interaction based drug design and screening” by targeting key proteins involved in metabolic and infectious diseases. It is tempting to search for new leads and drug candidates, and has recently successfully constructed two technology platforms, namely, target identification and validation as well as structural biology based drug design.
