In September 1999, SIMM and Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd. set up a joint pharmacology laboratory using the telemetry technology. It was the first of this kind in China. In July 2010, the construction of a new facility for this joint laboratory was completed and both parties commenced a new collaboration project in oncology. The project was focused on the development of small molecule inhibitor targeting the key enzyme in cancer metabolism.
