SIMM-UCB joint program on computational biology was formally launched in November 2012. The program was designed to focus on the development of novel methods of computational biology and their application to the theoretical investigations of protein conformational transition, protein design as well as protein-ligand interactions. Working together, remarkable progress has been made, especially, on new method development for simulating large-scale conformational transition of various proteins and accurately evaluating protein-ligand binding affinity.
