The Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica is a senior member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences with a mission to provide comprehensive solutions to drug discovery and development. As part of an exciting new alliance with AstraZeneca, a major international pharmaceutical company, we would like to invite you to join our open, friendly and supportive team based in a new purpose built facility located in Shanghai. 

　　 You will be working in a GLP environment and will receive professional training in AstraZeneca’s own research and development facilities in Europe. 

　　 As an investigative toxicologist with a BSc and ideally, a post-graduate qualification in a relevant biological science, you will have a sound knowledge of the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and significant experience of directing general toxicology studies within a regulatory environment. You should also have excellent data analysis, communication, computer and organisational skills. Experience of biopharmaceuticals will be an advantage. You should be able to speak English to a high standard, have a knowledge of Chinese and perhaps have a specialist area of toxicological interest and knowledge.
