The Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica is a senior member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences with a mission to provide comprehensive solutions to drug discovery and development. 　　You will be working in an AAALAC accredited GLP environment and will have the opportunity to receive professional training in AstraZeneca’s research and development facilities in Europe.  

　　As an experienced Animal Sciences Technician you will have worked with a range of species within a regulatory environment. You should be competent in conducting animal toxicology studies, including planning, validating, reporting and performing all techniques and procedures in accordance with relevant regulations and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).  

　　 Your role will be to provide technical support and expertise for safety evaluation studies conducted within SIMM’s new research unit, so you must deliver the highest commitment to animal welfare. You will also have good communication skills and be able to speak English to a high standard. Membership of a professional association would be an advantage.
