Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol Revisit Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences
On May 16, 2024, Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol of Thailand and the delegation visited Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica(SIMM) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS). This was her third visit to the institute.
Prof. Dr. HRH Princess Chulabhorn visited the exhibition hall of SIMM, where YE Yang, secretary of the party committee and deputy director of SIMM provided a detailed introduction to the institute's history and innovative achievements. CHEN Kaixian, member of CAS, and JIANG Biao, chief scientist of CAS Innovation Cooperation Center, gave welcoming addresses. YE, ZHU Weiliang and SHEN Jingshan delivered academic progress reports of SIMM on natural products, drug discovery and medicinal chemistry respectively.
After the discussion, DING Jian, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, exchanged gifts with Prof. Dr. HRH Princess Chulabhorn on behalf of SIMM.
DENG Haixiao, vice president of the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of CAS, and director of CAS Innovation Cooperation Center, also attended the meeting.
