The Biotech Drug Center of SIMM was initially set up in 2015. It currently contains 5 research groups. The goal of Biotech Drug Center is to adopt innovative biotechnology drugs or technologies such as DNA re-engineering to treat severe human diseases. The center develops new drugs, novel technologies and therapeutic methods focusing on antibody development, glycosite-specific antibody, nanobodies, antibody conjugates, peptides, PROTAC, gene therapy methods, cell and stem cell therapy methods, and has made much progress.
