SIMM Cancer Center aims to accelerate innovative drug discovery via revealing novel mechanisms underlying cancer progression and drug resistance. The collective efforts in the past decades have led to the establishment of a comprehensive drug discovery platform that supported dozens of drug discovery projects and several seminal discoveries in cancer precision medicine. SIMM Cancer Center is led by Dr. DING Jian, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and gathers elite experts with diverse backgrounds in cancer research. The center staff have spearheaded the discovery and development of over 20 anticancer drugs, with over 10 in various stages of clinical trials in China or overseas, and published hundreds of papers in high-profile journals including Cell, Cancer Cell, etc. The center members are funded by Innovative Research Groups Project of NSFC and have received multiple esteemed national awards.
