The Center for Structure and Function of Drug Targets focuses on cell signaling receptors, including G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and nuclear hormone receptors, two major classes of drug targets that are highly relevant to human diseases. The Center specializes in identification and validation of drug targets, structural analysis of receptor proteins, structure-based screening and function validation of small-molecule ligands for drug discovery. The Center has equipped with the state-of-the-art systems for expression, crystallization and structure determination mammalian membrane proteins.
